A very relaxed and happy Prince Joachim and Princess Marie have been out and about since Daisy's birthday balcony appearance last Tuesday. Joachim is patron of the Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, a global network of international students, which is appropriate considering this makes him the symbolic head of these volunteers who go out into their own corners of the world and show everyone the best Denmark has to offer and why one should consider the country for study and work opportunities. Until Novo Nordisk or some other pharmaceuticals enterprise can establish a positive link between their products and an improved mood in the Derf Man, the Crown Prince should just be left to the sailing events in favour of his more charismatic and life-satisfied younger brother. Leave it to the tall, elegant, multi-lingual self-confident Joachim, buoyed by his happy home life, to represent the ideals and best of Denmark.
Meanwhile, Princess Marie attended a dinner at the French Embassy's Thott Palace recently in her capacity as the patron for the National Association for Autism - a very fine focus, indeed! The purple colour suits her, the fresh highlights celebrate the end - finally - to this very long winter that has finally ended and the "level" of clothing is occasion appropriate, if a little budget friendly. Look, Møgeltønder just doesn't have chic boutiques and Marie works on a tight budget! French brand Sephora was the sponsor of the event whereby Marie distributed their donation of 10,000 euros to this very worthy cause. Just like how Madam MoreMore receives Australian companies at the Aussie Embassy who graciously donate to Mary's Danish charities. Oh wait. That doesn't exist, does it? It's Australian companies who pay Madam a salary in exchange for her plugging their wares back in the only place Mary calls home - OZ. That's right. Never mind.
Not content to be all business, the most French of the Danish royals were spotted rolling around Copenhagen with their nearly 4 year old son in the most Danish of tranportation options: a bicycle. Now that's how you integrate into your new culture! Looks like lille prins Henrik and Athena's Oncle Charles, visiting from France, has joined in the nordic fun in advance of his godson Henrik's birthday on 4 May. No Slurpppppppppper tendencies, here!

Yes, Joachim and Marie have panache, individually and as a couple. They are both intelligent and eloquent. It goes without saying. Unlike other members of the DRF....
ReplyDeleteMy god the wannabe King Joke and lazy Lady of the Manor still in the capital it is a well known fact that they do nothing on the farm they like nothing better than doing nothing in Copenhagen, true Bogans. The purple top looks just right for a disco.
ReplyDeleteYrma, are you around again? Why don´t you go to study some danish, ignorant bitch!
Delete" it is a well known fact that they do nothing on the farm they like nothing better than doing nothing in Copenhagen, true Bogans".....
Delete....Reeaaaallly, now? I thought the only well known fact is the Fred likes to do even less, and that Yrma is spending the Danish taxpayer's money on fashion, jewelry, and medical procedures!
Which makes me wonder how she'll look like at King Willem's coronation...hmmmm.... surprise, Jack in the Box.
Oh, btw, "Bogan" is and Australian and New Zealand slang for an individual who is recognised to be from an unsophisticated background. Whose speech, attitude and behaviour exemplifies a lack of manners and education = Mary, CrownBoganson of Tazdenmark.
Us Danes need to face the sad fact, we have an extremely lazy DRF, all of them do as little as possible for us the people, they do not care about the country nor the people as long as we keep paying "apanache" and do not have any demands to them and their position. I do acknowlegde that Mary and Frederik take the price as really lazy and indifferent royalty that do seem like they just want to be jetsetters and freeloaders and do not understanding their role nor their responsibility towards Denmark, but honestly rest of the DRF is not much better, it do seem like the only member of DRF that had regular work days was Alex, and she is not member of DRF anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt could be time for us Danes to decide that after Margrethe we will stop having a monarchy??? Besides Fred has a Harvard degree and Mary is supposed to be really intelligent, so they could try something new and support their own family, Joachim and Marie can live off the land like so many other Danish farmers. Basically it is time to remove their Royal privilegiers because they have all proven they are not worthy of them!
BOGAN is a supreme title reserved for Mare Donkeyson and her family only. They don't like to share it with others.
ReplyDeleteI rather like this Schackenborg couple. They get much less money than the idiot crown prince and his bogan wife. They go about their jobs. They love each other and their children. This is all what makes them steady happy people. They spend most of their time on their working farm. Marie doesn't have welfare babies that she keeps hiring nannies for. It's nice that the big city French girl is comfortable in the country. She is more Danish than the Australian b*tch who is ugly inside and out.
ReplyDeleteJoachim and Marie don't live off the land: they live off the Danish people just like the rest of the DRF. Joachim is heavily in debt and has taken out a lot of money in loans. Fred doesn't have a degree from Harvard. Why do people keep repeating this myth? He studied there, but he didn't earn a degree there.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't say they live off the land, she said they should _try_ living off the land. Show the proof that Joachim is "heavily" in debt. If he has loans, that is the kind of debt that is normal to take on to keep things flowing; that is good responsibility to make sure your farmhands are paid and true of most farmers. Farming is damn difficult, and too much is at the whim of Mother Nature.

He is leasing out land from his farm and he is renting out a property on the grounds.
This thread on Royaldish makes references to his money problems and the property rental.
