Happy 72nd Birthday, Daisy! Your Pressie? Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Croaks; New Elephant On the Loose!

So Daisy's 72nd birthday was heralded with the death of the oldest and richest man in Denmark, and the country's only non-royal holder of the Elephant Order, Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller. So after appearing on the balcony of Amalienborg with her family of bogan heirs at her side (the elegant Schackenborgs were relegated to a side balcony), Daisy now has a free elephant thinggie to give out with the death of the 98 year old. (Mary got Romanian dictator Ceaucescu's.) Who will be the lucky recipient? The answer will most likely lean toward a rich private citizen who supplements the royal family's desire for undeserved holidays from a puny work schedule, rather than a hard-working member of the larger Danish society whose life has been dedicated to serving the greater good.

Poor Josie and Izzy. Mummy just doesn't care enough to make sure your hair is properly presented. Looks like a nanny scraped Izzy's hair back at the last minute. Too bad those German Vogue stylists aren't still around to make sure Izzy looks presentable; her one moment of looking like the princess she is was at their hands. But at least Izzy, like Princent, got Derfie's cuter looks. Poor Josephine, like Xian, is alllllll Donaldson. She's the spitting image of the equally tragic looking Mary as a baby. Xian's looks are unfortunately supplemented by his Grampy Professor Jock "Half-Mast" "Captain Haddock" "Chad Morgan Goes to Hollywood" Sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrpson behaviour. Daisy's move to the side balcony to stand with her Schackenborg tribe was quite symbolic, if a bit selfish, but who wouldn't prefer to be seen and photographed near happy, handsome people? Perhaps she's signalling her preference for Team Schackenborg!

The Royal Family Affected By Mærsk's Death

Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller was a personal friend of the royal family, who is therefore affected by his death, said the court.

Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller and the royal family have long had close relations, and the announcement of the shipowner's death has affected the royal family, so says the royal family's communications director Lene Balleby Berlingske to the News Agency.

"The Queen and Prince Consort and the rest of the royal family are very concerned by the notice of Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller's death," she says.

She can not disclose how far in connection with the death has sent an official communication from the Royal Family to Maersk family. She stresses, however, that the royal couple knows the family well and that there is contact between the two families.

Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller's death falls on the day when Queen Margrethe age 72 years. As planned, entered Queen Margrethe at noon forward on the balcony of Amalienborg Palace and let himself be hailed by the assembled people.

Queen Margrethe was dressed in a dark suit with a pink and purple blouse under, while Prince Harry was dressed in a dark blue suit.

Lene Balleby invalidated to Berlingske News Agency that the queen's dress has anything to do with death, and that there is a coincidence.

She also says that death does not affect the rest of the program for the Queen's birthday, where the royal couple at 3pm are going to Rosenborg Castle to attend the inauguration of the renovated marble ceilings.

Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller was 98 years old. In a press release, Maersk's daughter, Ane Maersk Mc-Kinney Uggla writes: "We are grateful that our father was enriched with a long eventful life. With his unfailing desire to do good, he set forth with many major initiatives and had a major influence on his contemporaries. On this day, I am very anxious to extend a thank you to all current and former employees of AP Møller-Maersk Group for the loyalty shown our father all these years".

Mr. Mc-Kinney Møller had Miss Amber Petty as a seatmate at the wedding reception in 2004.

At Christian's christening during that bizarre tour of the room Mary did with the baby not letting anyone really touch him.

Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller worked until the end, a lesson that young Derfie will not learn.

  1. Great! Another funeral the Sluuuuuurrrrpsons can show up to for free food. Are they still in denmark basking in the glow of Charles and mIlla, or back to the gatehouse at Cayx waiting for someone to drop a case of Henri's swill?

  2. The Sluuurrrpppsons have form when it comes to gatecrashing funerals. Coupla years ago they went to a funeral in Denmark - some aristocrat they didn't actually know but they lived in the same suburb - they turned up so they could be photographed near Daisy, since she refuses to invite them to any other than unavoidable royal family occasions.
