New Year's Kurs 2: Reception for the Diplomatic Corps: Daisy Takes a Seat During the Parade of National Costumes

"I seeeeeeeeeeeee you!"

Daisy's spinal arthritis seemed to be kicking in for today's reception at Christiansborg in honour of the diplomatic corps in Denmark. She wore black flats and greeted her guests seated, and Henrik also took a seat in solidarity with his wife (or because he also gets tired holding up that belly). The Derfies had to stand. Tough gig for a distant-eyed Frederik and a more sober Yrma. What on earth is he yearning for with those sad baby blues? Whisky? Katja? A giant doobie? An abdication of his role as future king? A couple of busty blondes and a cold brewski? We know what she wants...more cameras and luxury freebies!

I love Madam's formal suit, and she must, too, since she's worn it several times at kurs and gala events. This is one of the rare outfits in her wardrobe that is well-fitting, sober, and elegant. I love the 3/4 sleeves which allow for long gloves (although, Mares, you don't tuck your sleeves into your gloves - take a tip from Jackie O). She almost looks like a nice and approachable person!

  1. I looove all the national dress. thank you for that.

What happened between the DRF? Did large Marge really yell at her son and his stupid wife? THey all look very chastised. Mary still has to look for the cameras, though. Such an idiot. Fred is left to quietly ponder his destiny. He looks very sad.
I think he is wanting that bar in Key West big time and doesn't care what happens to Mary. She can live in a mansion in Miami with the kids and visit Fred once a month. Jokke for king?

  2. Love Crown Princess Mary's gown, very elegant! Beautiful hair and make-up too!

  3. It is disturbing to see the two footmen (in the fourth photo) bow deferentially to fred and donaldson. No wonder this donaldson woman has such an inflated ego and high value of her worthless self. This pair of freeloaders, especially arrogant donaldson, have done nothing in their life to deserve any respect and endless funding of their lifestyle. What she really deserves is big slaps on her botoxed, lined face, hard kicks in her backside and then repatriation back to oz to join her equally ugly sisters for good.

  4. Mary clearly is taking on board the criticism about her outrageous spending and is wearing her outfits more than once. She looks fine, poor Fred looks miserable. I am confused - why is he like this at times and not at others?

  5. Jokke is a king, you must be joking!. I rather have Frederik than the crypt and Fred is more down to earth person. Princess Mary always look elegant.

  6. Quel malheur de voir Fred dans cet état à cause de cette femme prétentieuse et avide de pouvoir
Elle se prend déjà pour la Reine et ne respecte pas son mari

  7. Frederik is clearly having a psychological meltdown of some sort. Look at his face, his posture and the fact that he walks in with clenched fists-something's rotten in the state of Denmark. I just can't understand why they don't get him help. It's becoming more and more obvious that he needs it.

    1. Yes I agree! It is easy to think about Fred that his life is easy and no feel sorry for him. He has everything he wanted, all the material things, comfort, no worry about to pay for the electricity. Like normal people. But I have sympathy for the people who are truly suffereing and sick and Fred is this. No all the money in the bank does it matter when the mind is sad and sees only black. He needs help now!!! To me Mary and the Queen does not care, they are classic self-centered.

  8. Fred suffers from chronic depression. It's not gossip but fact.
I hope he gets treatment for it, because clearly his wife doesn't help, being a typical self-centered person.

  9. Ok - can someone please answer my question - is fred happily married and he just hates attending these functions? Or, is he miserable and /or unwell??????

  10. Don't forget, Fred's grandfather King Frederik IX was an alcoholic. Queen Ingrid forced him to get help and quit the bottle. These things get passed down in families and Fred himself seems to suffer from addiction issues. He has no drive to work and just wants to satiate himself in ultimately hurtful things. Booze, drugs, chics, speeding. Very self-destructive. Marge wasn't there for him by all accounts and she herself seems to have learned to cope with an alcoholic father with narcissism, typically a condition associated with insecurity. Marge was probably not attentioned properly as a child (happy formal photo shoots versus maybe a love-deprived real life) and she was not considered pretty and had bad acne for years. They were afraid she would never marry. Thank goodness for Henri. (He is not appreciated properly) But when he came, she started soaking up the attention and love that was deprived her earlier. When Fred and Jokke came, they were about duty not the desired issue of a loving couple. So they were ignored. I think Jokke takes after Henrik and this is why he can cope better. Look at Henri. The whole country throws tomatoes at him from the moment he arrives. They make fun of his Frenchness and his Danish language skills which aside from an accent are really excellent. He is the most underappreciated royal. He goes out there everyday with a happy attitude and he cherishes his friendships and enjoys life. Yes he is sometimes too royal. There are greater crimes for the spouse of the queen. Better than being too base or democratic. He has learned hissy fits from Marge and that is not good (I think she permits them/implicitly allows for them) but by golly they are a team. Fred doesn't have a strong accommodating resource by his side to be a better angel against his demons. He didn't have the strength to tell this Aussie skank to leave Denmark in 2002 since she was able to appeal to his lowbrow self-destructive side (free blow jobs and no overtly demanding behavior) and then luck of luck Jokke was getting divorced and Marge needed a smoke screen and sent them to Rome with a camera crew to get engaged. It's all very sad. Whoever is saying that Marge doesn't care and wants Fred to suck it up is right. But there is reason to be extremely worried about Fred.

  11. Fred seems as though he hates his job.

Why is yrma only wearing one glove? It looks stupid...

  12. Can someone answer this: Does Mary speak fluent danish? From 1 to 10, how is her danish language skills?

    1. For me it is a 5 at best. I don't care, if she has an accent, but she speaks Danish with the rhythm of English, so it doesn't sound good. She doesn't try to pronounce words correctly. Again, this is different from an accent.
Her vocabulary is not very big. Knowing Danish is more than just the word for this or that. It is understanding Danish humour, satire, very dry, tongue in cheeck. She understands nothing, always looks lost. Especially a royal revues, the comedy shows for Jubilee, etc. She laughs after everyone else always looking around for cues. I am convinced she and Frederik speak English all the time.
What is her English? I would say a 7. Agree or not?

    2. If she speaks bogan English, she could score full mark because this is her real mother tongue. If she tries to speak like Princess Anne or someone born to the manor with her irritating faked English accent, it is a 4 or 5. In this case, she often mispronounces some words and makes grammatical errors.

  13. Mary lives in Denmark since 2002. She had 10 years to learn danish, with personal teachers, paid with our taxes, but she couldn´t. Is she stupid, idiot or just doesn´t want to learn our language? She doesn´t deserve to be our crownprincess. We want her to speak our language, if she cannot do that by the time of Fred coronation (soon or later) she must go back to Tasmania to help rise tasmanian devils. Princess Maxima speaks dutch, Queen Sofía speak spanish, Queen Silvia speaks swedish, HRH. Princess Grace learned french, so, why this woman cannot speak danish?

  14. I agree. She is really bad at Danish. I would say 2 or so.
She is not trying to learn out language and that is disgusting. Marie is all ready better than yrma, but Marie is also doing An effort and she wants to be able to speak with people.

  15. Crown Princess Mary speak perfect Danish with English accent and Marie is only able to speak simple Danish. I don't understand why you hate her so much and bad mouth about her as she has not done any harm to any one of you!.

    1. Now we know that you are lying and being deliberately obtuse, because Mary is very bad at Danish and Marie is actually very good at it. Read the blog if you want to know why we hate stupid bogan Mary!!!! Jeez Louise! Not everyone likes Mary!! Get over it!!
