The whole family is flabbergasted
B.T. caught up with Prince Joachim in Copenhagen City Hall immediately after the Crown Prince couple announced that they are expecting twins in January 2011.
"It's a wonderful news. Absolutely wonderful," said Prince Joachim to BT's reporter who caught him at City Hall immediately after the Crown Prince couple announced that they are expecting twins in January 2011.
"Good news is always welcome and this is even doubly good news," says the expectant uncle, who also says he had been conveyed the news personally by older brother Crown Prince Frederik at Gråsten Castle.
"He was more than usually happy when he said it. It is wonderful that he can give the people closest to him the good news. Now the whole family is filled with joy. I see the same joy in his eyes that I experienced when I became a father," says a smiling Prince Joachim, who is himself the father of three boys.
When asked what he welcomes most of the announcement, Prince Joachim said, "To see how the twins look."
