Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway were in Copenhagen Saturday night for Mary's 40th birthday party and intended to leave Denmark and return to Oslo on Sunday morning. But the plane had to evacuate before take-off. Official excuse: smoke being reported in the cabin. Unofficial excuse: Mary's bad luck, dude!
Funny how on Mary's birthday all the press is talking about is poor Mette-Marit and her fear of flying.

SAS Apologises to the Crown Princely Couple
It's been a busy royal morning at the web service Twitter, where the Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit has kept busy updating with small status messages on her breakfast, which has bid for evacuation from an SAS aircraft because of smoke in the cabin.
SAS responded quickly to Crown Princess tweets (status updates to Twitter, ed.)
"We are truly sorry for what has happened this morning, but we are happy to hear that our colleagues took good care of you and the other passengers," SAS wrote in a message on Twitter to the Crown Princess.
Although she was quick to update her Twitter profile with pictures from the runway, where she in the middle of the evacuation took the time to photograph the aircraft, which passengers had to leave through the chute.
Shortly after she wrote on her Twitter profile:
"Ok, my morning was a bit more exciting than expected .. Whew ..."
The Crown Princess is known for her fear of flying and this morning's incident has probably not done anything to alleviate this. Despite the unfortunate evacuation she nevertheless had words of praise for the SAS staff.
"A warm thanks to the skilled SAS personnel who took good care of all passengers," she wrote Sunday morning on the profile.
